I found Zumo by happenstance and was shocked that something so beautifully decorated was also very reasonably priced, especially with it being so central. The atmosphere was upscale and yet very relaxed. The dishes were plated beautifully and were absolutely delicious. Chef Gustavo Caballero has an incredible talent for balancing flavors and introducing modern Mexican food to the uninitiated. My only regret is that I discovered Zumo the night before my departure! I wish I could have tried everything they had to offer. That being said, you HAVE to order the charred aguachile. It was out of this world. We ate dinner at Zumo and had the tasting menu with wine pairings. Both the food and the wine were excellent, but tbe combination was truly outstanding! We had 3 wines from Mexico that were as good or better than any from California or France. The service was attentive, spoke excellent English, and fun too. The sommelier served each of the 5 wines and discussed them with us. We'd eat here again if we only had more time in Puerto Vallarta. If you're looking for fine dining with Mexican food, this is the place!

The Short Rib melts in your mouth, my wife’s duck with Mole was also amazing . The appetizers are ALL GREAT

Was a bit variable so hard to give a rating. Al pastor croquetas were maybe the best croquetas I’ve ever had, definitely up there at least. Salmon gravalax was also a great order.
